As part of replacing rotted deck beams, the old charthouse carlines are also being replaced this week. The charthouse itself will be refurbished, but the carlines were rotted beyond repair. In this pic you can see the new carline on the port side, notched properly for the deckbeams alongside the charthouse. We ended up removing the new deckbeams that the previous owner, Tom, had fabricated and installed along the charthouse. To get a very tight joint, John fabricated new beams, but we should be able to use Tom’s beams further aft in the boat along-side the cockpit.
