Cat In Charge

Lesson two of things to do as the ship’s cat:

When you’re the ship’s cat, aka the “Cat in Charge” or CIC, you’ve got to keep an eye on everything the crew is doing. If one of them is swimming, you’ve really got to keep an eye on them ‘lest they float away in the currents. Don’t want that to happen on my watch. Nope.

Even though we cats can watch everything going on with our eyes closed, in this task, you can’t just lallygag around–you’ve got to LOOK like you’re watching them so they know you’re taking your job seriously as the CIC.
