Thanks! Brenda and David
It is so great to see Mahdee sailing again. The last time I was aboard her, she was in distressful condition. Where is Mahdee now and what is her story? I last saw her in San Diego about 12 years ago. And the owners could not sell her because of her condition. She could not sail and the owners were thinking of shipping her up to Washington State. That was the last time I saw her.
Hi,
I took a photo of the Mahdee from the 4th floor of a building where I work while you were in Aquatic Park in San Francisco. How do I send that photo to you?
Thanks,
Kay
I love seeing “Mahdee” pop up in my emails again! I’m one of the DeCamp “issue” who’ve been thrilled to witness your rescue of this wonderful vessel… Please keep the stories coming!

What a wonderful blog! Safe passages to Mahdee and all who sail in her.
Fair leads,

Good Morning from Clarkes Court Bay, South Grenada, West Indies.
My wife and I and Lupo de Mare our little dog, live aboard our Tayana 54 and run our Caribbean Boat Services business in the new big boatyard here. We repair and maintain boats. we do everything. I am a shipwright rigger, mechanic etc, nearly 62 and have spent a lifetime at sea, in it or on it, in anyway possible. I am British and Manuela is German.
We are selling our lovely home and looking for a moderate manageable size Schooner with charactor for easy Caribbean sailing yet with Ocean going capability.
Is your lovely vessel for sale? if yes, please come back to me with details.
chris and Manuela
We hope you have found a schooner for your purposes. We love ours and have no intention of selling her anytime in the near future. Fair winds, B & D
Dear Brenda, Dear David,
I am the daughter of one of Mahdee’s former owners and I am thrilled to learn that she is still sailing and even more thrilled to know that she is in such loving hands. One of my father’s dearest friends from college sailed with him often and later in life, built him the most spectacular model that is headed to MIT’s nautical engineering “museum”. I believe you have heard from the son of the man who built the model as we are “conspiring” to gather at MIT once she is in place. We would be delighted if you could join us. I will leave you my contact info below. All the best and happy sailing, Clare
