Mahdee has moved.

Mahdee made the move to her new boatyard “home” on the 13th and 14th of June. Here’s a picture of her on the truck. This is the first time we’ve actually seen Mahdee’s planking as she has been inside tight quarters in a shed with only about 18″ on each side of her widest beam. We were very excited! to finally see the planking. We could also see the little bumps and warbles in the planking once she was “out in the light”…quickly John and David were talking about how soon would it be that they could “cover her back up!” so people wouldn’t see her hull until they were finished with her planking.

Mid-Move and Static!

Hey, all,

Well we’re literally “mid move” with all the tools, supplies, wood, just about everything over at our new digs (San Diego Boat Movers “SDBM” Yard) but Mahdee is still over at the old yard until tomorrow (Tuesday) when the SDBM team will be moving her. David and John took the day “off” today. Time-wise, this works out great as David can focus on our business ventures for the next couple days. Over the weekend and today he is working on re-writing some software that must be done asap to run on some hardware I re-built in the last few months. (notice all the “re”? we’ve done this one again and again…and again) The hardware is to undergo testing at another company’s east coast location next week. Thus, having a dead day on Mahdee is great!

All our scaffold parts, tarps, shade cloth, etc have arrived…we’ll just be thrilled to have Mahdee in her new location sometime tomorrow 🙂

Stay tuned…

Even a gray day on the water…

Is better than one spent indoors. Here’s a shot of San Diego bay as we sail on our Rawson 30 after a long week of working on Mahdee.

Well, some of us are happier indoors! Here’s a picture of our kitty, Beamer, who’s crammed himwelf in a cubby on the boat. All the heeling over can’t drag him out of his cubby. We have a little lifevest for Beamer, but he’s never even been on deck. He’s much happier in the nooks and crannies below.
