You can see what Latitude 38 magazine thought about Saturday’s race HERE.
Or, you can follow this link to a write-up from David on the Great San Francisco Schooner Race.
We really didn’t take very many pictures while sailing during the Schooner Race. We were far from other boats most times. Towards the end of the day, I took several shots “in the cockpit” including a couple good ones of David standing on the aft-deck above Jim as Jim guided Mahdee around the last rounding and up through the finish line.
I’m almost certain that I was admonishing Jim while I took this picture as Mahdee is heeled quite beyond my limits at this moment.
Finally in front of someone! We can feel like we’re going somewhere. Sal and Lacey enjoying the last bit of time before the finish.
Lacey took a bunch of pictures. I can’t wait to see them.
Sal in the doorway, grinning. Bob in the background looks a little cold. Bob got a face full of spray several times during the race.
I just had to post this shot of Mahdee that John Swain of the San Francisco Yacht Club took of Mahdee. He was aboard the deck of the 115 ft long schooner Eros.
There are many pictures of the schooners at the docks coming soon!
