Love that word, gudgeon, which in our case refers to the very important bit of metal attached to Mahdee’s keel. This important little part, by Mahdee’s design, carries much of the weight of the rudder. The old one was quite galled from the turning of the rudder stock and quite pink from 77 years of use.
