Yesterday was an exciting day for Mahdee! In a frenzy of productivity (o.k., a lot of beating on the planks, bang, bang, bang…) John managed to get both port and starboard shutter planks hung!

We’d be having a celebration of the whiskey plank–except we still have a few planks to go on the transom. It’s so tempting to just knock those out, but we’d be smart to cut out the caprails and covering boards (made of the same mahogany) before the remaining transom planking…
