We have been using a virtual private server to host our various web sites and other functions.  It has performed well up until we went dynamic with this blog.  That pushed the server over the edge of its capabilities.  On December 31, we upgraded to a faster cpu, doubled the ram and disk space.  From my perspective the site is much, much more responsive.  We have also fiddled with some of the settings over the past week.
